Ornella (Mariska), an attractive forty-something, has been married for many years to David Dumas (Jason Steel), a businessman who is often away. Like all long-lasting couples, they have experienced ups and downs, but Ornella has always done everything she can to ensure their love endures.
This morning, as she is having breakfast, Ornella receives a visit from Alexis Meunier. He had responded a few days earlier to Ornella's ad looking for a handyman. Since her husband is frequently away on business trips, she can no longer manage their beautiful villa alone. After a quick interview, Alexis offers to start immediately so she can evaluate him. With the help of Juliette (Anita Rover), the housekeeper, he can tour the property and assess the scope of the tasks. Between deep cleaning, maintaining the garden and the pool, he will have his work cut out for him.
A few days later, while Alexis is taking care of the pool with Juliette, he can't help but notice that his boss, who is reading while sunbathing, is a beautiful woman whose natural charm does not leave him indifferent. What he doesn't know is that on the day they met, without really knowing why and especially without daring to tell him, Ornella had also found him very charming.
The next day, David comes to tell his wife that he has to leave again for several days on a business trip. To try to make up for his repeated absences, he suggests making the most of the time he has left before his taxi arrives. Although these moments of pleasure are becoming increasingly rare for the couple, the passion is fortunately still present, until Ornella catches Alexis, who had come to retrieve his wallet, spying on them. Furious at being caught in such an intimate moment, she has no choice but to fire him.
A few minutes later, Ornella accompanies her husband to the taxi that will take him to the airport. What she doesn't know is that David never had a business trip; he just found an excuse to meet Carla (Nikita Bellucci), his mistress. Although he expected a warm welcome, David realizes that she is tired of him leading her on with promises of the world. A natural charmer, he manages, as usual, to turn the situation to his advantage and ends up in his mistress's bed.
Meanwhile, Alexis is not sure where he stands. Everything was going so well with his new boss. When Juliette suggests going for a drink to clear his mind, he explains the situation to her and suggests they go to his place to avoid running into too many people. As soon as Juliette arrives, the two lovers kiss passionately before moving on to more serious matters. Although they had never dared to admit it, they got along very well when they worked together. Maybe even a little too well.
Not convinced by her lover's sweet talk, Carla had hired a private detective to learn more about his supposedly conflictual relationship with his wife and about his life in general. As she expected, David had lied to her all along and never intended to leave his wife to start a new life with her. Not content with cheating on his wife, David turns out to be a real womanizer, like the evening when he joined one of his colleagues for a supposed business dinner that quickly turned into a real orgy with four beautiful women (Clémence Audiard, Lola Bellucci, Diana Lawrence, and Chloé Duval). Carla now has no choice but to leave him, not without taking the trouble to send all the evidence to Ornella.
Disappointed by her husband's behavior but not surprised by the situation, Ornella will now do everything to regain control of her life. She therefore offers Alexis his job back. Now in a relationship with Juliette, he has also decided to settle down and try to lead a more stable life. After initially refusing this offer, he agrees to come back to pick up the jacket he left behind on the day he was fired. After hearing his ex-boss's confessions, Alexis realizes that their attraction is mutual. And what if the two new lovers finally spent a little more time together, unless fate decides otherwise?
